About
Priya Walia is the principal and owner of Walia Consulting, LLC. Priya has more than a decade of nonprofit and legal experience including development, policy advocacy, compliance, and governance. She has led state-wide coalitions to pass legislation, litigated in courts across the country, and actively contributed to harm reduction work. She’s a prison abolitionist, compassionate facilitator, attorney, and proud LGBTQIA+ Appalachian Desi. Priya is the founding board President of Holler Health Justice, a racial, economic, and reproductive justice nonprofit and abortion fund in Appalachia. She is proud to offer discounted rates for abortion funds.

Reproductive justice values-based
Our lives are intersectional and our approach to liberation should be too. The reproductive justice framework tells us that it is our inalienable and inherent right to achieve full bodily autonomy. Our work is not done until everyone can have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.
Compassion first
Emotional intelligence is central to our mission. We may fight for what is right in statehouses and in discourse, but winning the ethical argument isn’t enough. We approach our client work with solidarity and a deep recognition of our shared humanity.
Community-driven, community building
No person and no community are disposable. People are central to our consulting practice because social change cannot happen in a vacuum. We seek to build where others have torn down and grow what others have discarded. People with lived experience have the answers to our liberation, and they are central to movement building work.
